About Institute:-
Yoga Jyoti was conceived as a Non-Profit Charitable Trust in the month of February 2005 by two of Sri Desikachars students, Amala Akkineni & Salil Ganeriwal, to bring awareness regarding the ancient wisdom of Yoga among people , based on the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya as taught by Sri Desikachar.
Yoga is a science that has been practiced for thousands of years. It consists of ancient theories, observations and principles about the mind and body connection which is now proven by modern medicine. Much research has been done on the benefits of eye yoga - yoga postures (asanas), yogic breathing (pranayama) and meditation.In an effort to preserve the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya Yoga focus on Jyoti has been on a methodology one-to-one teaching. This is based on the belief that no two people are alike, so a common practice for those who want to be like prescribing a pill for all. Individual courses will be held at Jubilee Hills. Apart from these classes and lectures are also organized for institutions and offices.
Information on yoga postures and benefits are grouped into three categories, biochemical, physiological, psychological. In addition, scientists have put these results in relation to the benefits of regular exercise.

2) Appropriately sequenced and individualized physical movements
3) Meditation
4) Visualization
5) Use of sound and mantra & more
